Election Day 2017

Engaged Nation

Digital Citizen Engagement

There a number of non-partisan tools that have been developed to equip voters with the information and data needed to make wise voting choices. Many of these tools are right at your fingertips with your Smartphone.

Digital Democracy and CalMatters teamed up to track how legislators vote based on the powerful interest groups. The alignment score will inform voters of how often policy makers are aligning their votes with special interest groups. Ideally, special interest groups should work to ensure that the views of a wide range of citizens are considered in democratic processes. The alignment score can help voters to access if legislators are being effective.

Launched by the League of Women Voters Education Fund (LWVEF) in October of 2006, VOTE411.org is a "one-stop-shop" for election related information. Websites like Vote Smart and Ballotpedia provide free, factual, unbiased information on candidates and elected officials.

Are you looking to become more civically engaged? Then you may want to check out the Election Toolkit a library of free and low-cost tools to promote civic engagement and make voting easier.

We are all responsible for our democracy, it is imperative that we take the necessary actions to erect the change we want to see. We raise our voice by casting our vote.
